Our commitment to copyright
SkillSwap Nepal respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to do the same. We respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable international copyright law.
Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe that content on SkillSwap Nepal infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent. Your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works).
- Identification of the material on our Platform that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail for us to locate it (URLs preferred).
- Your contact information: full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Our response process
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly
- Notify the user who posted the content
- Document the takedown in accordance with our legal obligations
Counter-notification
If your content was removed in error and you believe you have the right to post it, you may submit a counter-notification including:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of courts in Nepal
Send counter-notifications to nepalskillswap@gmail.com. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the content after 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
Repeat infringers
SkillSwap Nepal maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances, at our sole discretion.
